Based on a true story. The name of the boat, which spanned Feb 5 1941 - throughout WWII - had been S/S Politician. Having abandoned Liverpool two weeks earlier, heading for Jamaica, it sank outside Eriskay including 250,000 bottles of whisky. The natives gathered as many bottles as they can arrived, and to day, bottles have been observed at the sand or in the sea.
