Overview:
John Morton is the creator of the BBC television comedy series Twenty Twelve. Morton also directed the series. The program is a parody of an on-location documentary that follows the preparations that were made for the Summer Olympics in London in 2012, and it stars Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Amelia Bullmore. It was initially shown on BBC Four, a television channel in the United Kingdom, in March 2011, to coincide with the beginning of the 500-day countdown to the opening ceremony. Twenty Twelve received mostly excellent reviews from the media, and on April 15, 2011, it was announced that a second series consisting of four parts would be produced. The second series began broadcasting on March 30, 2012, on BBC Two. On July 10, 2012, the broadcast of the next three episodes of the second season began. The final episode of the series was shown on television on July 24, 2012, which was three days before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.
