Overview:
The opening stages of the Tour de France are moved to Ireland in the summer of 1998. Dom Chabol (late 30s) is a Belgian rider who has been one of the Tour's best "Domestiques" (support riders) for the last 20 years. It's a selfless role, setting the pace, blocking the wind, and assisting the team's sprinter to victory – winning isn't an option. Dom, on the other hand, secretly wishes to wear the yellow jersey once more before his career ends. Dom is unceremoniously dropped from the Team he has dedicated his life to at the start of what will likely be his final Tour. His best friend Sonny, the team masseur, is unable to reassure him about his future. But a chance encounter with Lynn, a young Irish doctor, softens the blow, and Dom begins to accept-and even enjoy-the idea of civilian life. But, as he prepares to return home and face his estranged sister, a massive doping error knocks another teammate off the Tour, and Dom is thrown back in the saddle...
