The Millionaire is a anthology series which aired in January 1 9, 1955 on CBS, to June 8, 1960, originally sponsored by colgatepalmolive. The series explored life shifted for better or for worse and became a five-season hit throughout the Golden Age of Television. It told the stories of folks who were awarded a million dollars out of a benefactor who insisted they never understand him. The series had been well known in syndication by two names - The Millionaire, and If You Had a Million.
