Enderoid Endor's forest moon crashes into the shuttlecraft belonging to the Towani clan. Separated are the four Towani families. Mother and father Jermitt and Catarine are caught by the Gorax, while son and daughter Mace and Cindel are missing when they are captured. Later, Ewok Deej and his sons are searching for their father's boys when they discover Cindel alone in the shuttle (Mace and Cindel were looking for the transmitter to send a distress signal), and Mace emerges with his emergency blaster. Four-year-old Cindel eventually persuades adolescent Mace that the Ewoks are nice to her. Finally, the Ewoks and Towanis embark on a journey to find the older Towani.
