Slayers follows the exploits of this young sorceress Lina Inverse, whose entire life revolves around treasure, food, and even also fighting. Stragglers accost Lina during her journey to the town, after stealing treasure out of a group of bandits. She's not in any threat, but a dimwitted but good-natured swordsman named Gourry Gabriev springs to her rescue plateau. Both form teams, and visit Atlas City, fighting. Unbeknownst to Lina and Gourry however, two mysterious figures have been hot on their tail, and they are specially interested at the"treasure" Lina and Gourry have murdered.
