Trevor is 'between jobs'. He spends his days averting his nagging heifer of a wife by hiding out in his allotment shed and painting figurines to get his war games with his friend and dreaming of his heroic alterego, the battle mage Casimir that the Destroyer. After Mr Parsons, one of those additional allotment renters, petitions to have Trevor removed from his disgrace of a plot (he's not there to develop stuff!) An argument ensues that leaves Trevor having a corpse to hide. Regrettably, this accident and the zombie-apocalypse coincide and Mr Parsons' return is the beginnings of the issues of Trevor. More urgent is whether he needs to try and save his wife along with her beautiful best friend.
