In France, terrorist organizations and intelligence services engage in daily ruthless combat in the service of diametrically opposite ideologies. Terrorists and covert spies, however, live remarkably similar lives. These manipulative masters use the same techniques despite being bound to secret. There are two of them: Al Barad and Alex. While the latter is in charge of a terrorist network, the former is the head of the D.G.S.E.'s (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure, the French equivalent of the CIA or the MI6) counterterrorism section. Both engage in combat employing the most merciless of weapons: human beings.
