The year is1974, and it is the summer of 1974. Four friends have planned a weekend of hiking and camping in the woods. They pick up an anxious hitchhiker at a remote truck stop, and after only a short ride, he demands that they stop the vehicle. She is clearly terrified of something, but she is unable to describe it in her carsick terror. The group is ambushed and rendered unconscious.
