Overview:
The actor once called the Funniest Man in Finland, and his troupe are about to be executed to the atrocities committed during the Civil War from Finland. An admirer of both Parikka, jaeger Lieutenant Nyborg, supposes a definite miscarriage of justice. He desires to spare the actors. He is provided by the visit of the German General von der Goltz to the prison island with a suitable prospect. Nyborg implies that the celebrities prepare a performance for visitors and not be taken. Instead, they will soon be given a fresh trial. Preparing a comedy in the horrible conditions, in the middle of death and hunger, sounds an overwhelming endeavor. Just a small number of celebrities are still living, the rest of the troupe includes stagehands. Parikka has to utilize all his inventive skills in order to generate something funny.
