Overview:
Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge is a six-part BBC television series and 1995 Christmas special. It is called after the title song "Knowing Me, Knowing You" by ABBA. Alan Partridge, based in Norwich, was portrayed by Steve Coogan as an incompetent, self-satisfied host. Alan was a character from the parody radio program On the Hour. Alan's weekly guests, Doon Mackichan, Rebecca Front, and David Schneider, contributed to the writing of Knowing Me Knowing You. The show's music and arrangements were composed and arranged by Steve Brown, who also portrayed the house band leader, Glen Ponder. The program was a satire of conversation shows. Due to the laughing of the live crowd, viewers could not mistake the program for a genuine talk show. Alan then appeared in two series of the sitcom I'm Alan Partridge, which followed his life after his marriage and television career ended.
