A brother and sister who befriend a severely sunburned dolphin get estranged from his family and discover a covert conspiracy to destroy the beach and their new friend's habitat. The children must concoct a cunning scheme to thwart the bad guys, safeguard the water life, and, most importantly, preserve their best friend, Bernie.
